- What is Uptown Med Spa?
Uptown Med Spa Welland is a medical spa on Colbeck Drive in Welland, Ontario. We offer medical-grade facials, microneedling, laser hair removal, body treatments and injectables in a relaxed, welcoming clinic.
- Who performs the treatments?
Our team includes licensed medical aestheticians, certified laser technicians and experienced skincare specialists, with injectable treatments performed by qualified injectors. Everyone takes part in ongoing training.
- How do I book an appointment?
You can book online any time, call us at (382) 885-7262 or email uptownmedspawelland@gmail.com. Booking ahead is the best way to get the time that suits you.
- What happens at my first visit?
Your first appointment starts with a consultation. We’ll look at your skin, talk about your goals and any health history that matters, and recommend a treatment plan that fits you.
Facials
- Which facial should I choose?
It depends on your skin. The Hydr-Oxy Facial is great for dry or tired skin, the Carbon Facial suits oily and congested skin, and the Signature Glass Facial is our go-to for glow. If you’re unsure, we’ll recommend one during your visit.
- How often should I get a facial?
For most people, every four to six weeks keeps skin in great shape. Your aesthetician will suggest a schedule based on your skin and goals.
- Are there side effects?
Most facials have little to no downtime. Some people notice mild redness for a few hours afterwards.
Laser Hair Removal
- Is laser hair removal permanent?
It gives significant, long-term hair reduction. Most clients need a series of sessions, plus the occasional maintenance treatment.
- Is it safe?
Yes. Treatments are performed by trained technicians using professional equipment, and we assess your skin and hair type first to choose the right settings.
- Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a quick snapping sensation, like a rubber band. It’s very manageable, and sessions for smaller areas are over in minutes.
Injectables
- What are injectables?
Injectables include anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, along with treatments like PRF, lip flips and double chin reduction. They soften lines, restore volume and enhance features.
- How long do results last?
Anti-wrinkle injections usually last three to four months. Dermal fillers last from six months to two years, depending on the product and area.
- Do injections hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. We use very fine needles and offer numbing where appropriate.
Skin Rejuvenation
- How does microneedling work?
It creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries that prompt your skin to produce new collagen and elastin, improving scars, fine lines, pores and texture over time.
- What’s the difference between microneedling and microchanneling?
Both stimulate collagen. Microchanneling is gentler, focuses on delivering serums deeper into the skin and usually has less downtime.
- What is LED light therapy?
LED therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to calm the skin, support healing and encourage collagen. It’s painless and available as an upgrade to many treatments.
Before and After Your Treatment
- How should I prepare?
It depends on the treatment. For most facials and skin treatments, come with clean skin and no makeup. We’ll send specific instructions when you book if anything else is needed.
- What should I expect afterwards?
Mild redness or sensitivity is common and temporary. You’ll leave with aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment.
- Can I combine treatments?
Often, yes. Many treatments work even better together. We’ll recommend a safe combination and timeline during your consultation.
- How soon will I see results?
Facials and fillers show results right away. Anti-wrinkle injections take about two weeks, and collagen-building and laser treatments improve over several weeks.
Policies and Payment
- What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least [24] hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee. You can read the full details in our Cancellation Policy.
Cancellation Policy- Do you offer memberships or packages?
Yes. Our VIP Membership saves you money on treatments and skincare and gives you access to our unlimited Skin Gym plans. Some treatments also come in packages.
- Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, gift cards are available in a range of amounts and make a great gift for any occasion.
